Description

Temple Gate In the town of LungMenJia, on a quiet side canal far from the bustle of the well-traveled ways, stands the ancient and nearly forgotten temple of the Jade Dragon, almost hidden between the compounds of larger and busier temples. This is another view of the town seen in my previously posted "Morning in Lung Men Jia". This picture is actually the first stage of another work in progress. I'm doing an indoor scene with musicians, and a twilight version of this scene will be the view thru the window behind the people in that scene. I'm pleased enough with the progress on this one to post it for itself. Bryce 5. Some building parts made in DesignCad. No postwork except signature. Some other building parts 'kit-bashed' from various free-stuff items, for which I thank their makers, in particular this time Skygirl and Deborah "Kosagi" Brown.

An exquisite vision of old Japan. The placid foreground is a perfect compliment to the traditional architecture further back. I look forward to seeing your future images in this series. This is superior work, a pleasure to find.

Very nice detail and composition...my only suggestion would be to stay away from the stock standard textures for the rocks etc and add your own character to them...but even so, its a wonderful image :)

I like the models and the layout a lot! The texturing looks too stock, but that's your choice so you decide when to go with more hand-made materials. Only one thing on the architecture : the bigger, square pagoda-style house's roof should have a lot more curvature to it. But still, it's coming along great!
