Description

*In the smiles of friends you can catch the promises for your bright future that should never be forgotten nor betrayed.* ----------- Taken on July 6th, 2003, with a Canon IXUS 400. No postwork,1/3 of overexposure. ----------- This is the memory of a blessing day with two awesome persons, ratto and jgeorge, Alessandro and Lucia, who went in Lodi's land to meet me and my man (Stefano.. the one ratto so tenderly portraited with me in the past days, whom everyone thought was ratto himself ;)), for a day together that has been under every sight one of the most warmening, amazing days I have ever lived. We went around takin pics (well, they mostly did, that you have and will catch around in the gallery)out from a sunny day in the beautiful Countryside around the hometown of Stefano and finally transforming a pleasant internet connection in something real in full with the full body and voice communication, with the so called "complete vibe" of something we were always having the intuition was special anyway, namely our link, blossomed thanx to this site, and flourishing into a total thing. I am never satisfied of my pictures, and that's why I post them so rarely in this gallery, but without knowing nor wanting to make that intentionally, it happened that (from two different points on the ground, at different distances) me and ratto took exactly the same picture of San Bassiano, the ancient church near Lodivecchio, a treasure of Romanic architecture, dated around 800 DC. Seeing that, I was almost rassured at least one of my pics was worthy this space, since everyone knows how Ale is perfect in every shot he makes (of course this picture is far from being perfect, but I am not him ;)). So I am glad to complete the tryptich of this church alongside my beloved two friends, whom I'll meet so soon again, for renewing the memory of the magic of sharing real time together :) Love you both dears :) The Three Knights.. are us :) in shapes of Cypressus, and so perfectly this picture if meaningful of our day together for me. :) Hugs, and enjoy everyone :)

A wonderful photograph, very beautiful and mood-uplifting :) I like how the upward-directed perspective interacts with the abscence of clouds :)

Leon Battista Alberti said that we perceive a building like a body and the ancients taught us that a building is like a living creature. The quality of an inanimate object (architecture), the silence of the stone as an excuse to recall the memory of dear ones.

Eccellente fotografa Meli...!!! il cielo limpido e senza nuvole, fa che la chiesa ed i pini risaltino di forma spettacolare, tanto per le forme come per i distinti colori che hanno...!!
