Here I am! Hi everybody :)
What about me...Well,I'd love to make my living a pleasant and fruitful experience:I have always liked to paint and make drawings, but I never went to any school.
I love to write, and I like to express my soul in as many ways as I can think of...I don't consider myself an artist, though:I just love art. For more about me, just click here and visit my site.BIOI was born in Firenze, 17th of April 1977.
I am fond of everything which celebrates life and humanity:from writing, to painting, to music till sports and nature, all that captures my attention becomes an interest of mine.
If I'd die tomorrow, I would feel my life has been a worthy one already, but for every day that passes, I feel always more curious about it.
To be an artist (although I don't consider myself so,) means to have a personal vision about all that happens, equally outside than inside. For me it means also to try to connect with other's spirits in unexpectable ways and have an endless will of knowledge, and endless will to discover and test yourself and everything else, without fears, but with all possible emotions in the quest, and from the quest.
The world around it's therefore the best inspiration, all that is into it can touch the inner chords of my soul, although I can't say which way till it doesn't happen. And everytime it happens, it's a reveal, a miracle, and the vibes are the best one can feel.
Then sometimes I watch the blue sky, and I give shape to my heart and mind, and I float around... and smile for my live is really like I want it to be.
I have temporarily suspended my career as University Researcher, testing myself as Administrative Manager right now, and I still asking myself if what I got finally was awareness or disillusion, but anyway, it's my attitude to never regret anything that I made consciously.Let's give life a new try.
I am very fond of Foreign Cultures, they enlarge also my artistical perceivement of life, and it's something I find absolutely enriching.
I have never learnt English, so forgive me if I am not good at speaking nor writing it.
I can speak and write in French, I can read Spanish, I know Ancient Latin and Greek.
And of course, I am Italian so, my Mother Tongue has got no mystery for me.
Hooray for Dante! ;)

So fitting to Radioheads awesome Song. It always helps us see the Light ...if We have Lived the Dark. Enjoy Roma. Ciao:)

Hey Meli! Glad to see you trying on a new skin so to speak. Love the colours, nice work! <;0)

Great interpretation of the song, which is one of my favorites from "Hail to the Thief," which I've been listening to obsessively since it came out. Unfortunately, they're not doing any shows close enough for me to get to at the moment - they don't play corporate-sponsored venues, which precludes their playing in really big chunks of the States. Anyway, I really like the picture.

Great illustration of th esong, and amazing image..indeed, we don't fully appreciate sweet unless we have had sour...

Excellent Meli! I just love the emotion your artwork brings out. The colors go perfect with the mood. An excellent work!!

Somewhat creepy, and yes fitting to the text of the song... And yes, it's the alternating of lights and shadows that makes life so interesting... And some days are really dark, it's no use to deny them, just love them all the same: spent waiting for the new light to come, they are part of our existence

There there, these consolers are you, fighting the constant battle of different emotions, trying their best to maintain a healthy equilibrium. If either the demons or the consolers were to win the battle you would end up in the loony bin. Of course it is more complicated than that ;) This was just the first thing I thought of upon seeing this wonderful compo. Is that malice in your eyes? Certainly not seductive in any positive sense when taking into consideration the title. It looks like your mouth may be smeared with blood. This is a powerful image that is NOT depressing but IS dark. I am going to have to go ahead and check out that Radiohead song. I like the band but missed that particular song.

Looks great as always Meli! I love the feeling of the image. Have a great time in Rome.

You really manage to make that beautiful sculpture looking quite scary :-) Nice to get a glimpse of your dark side, that photo of yourself is so good.I now will try to find that Radiohead music that inspired you to this image.( Hmmm, I am old and does not keep up so well with music of the time)

It's hard to see U like a demon, but here is it :) (just for a moment.. poi riprenderai a parlare a macchinetta :))) LOL non ti si addice molto ;)) Beautiful work and color (as always)!

Wonderful Meli.. Sweet and sour and perhaps the lyric "just because you feel it doesnt mean it's there" Perfectly in tune with your image...

A very dark atmosphere that must be hidden very deep inside you... I like the image very much.

What makes this image work is the green color in the middle. It clearly represents a lush color that symbolizes vividness leading towards a hidden seductiveness. The surrounding blue catches the viewer off guard in terms of defocusing. The blue embraces the siren leading to a connection relative safeness, which consequently leads to naivet The eyes of the siren pierce through the soul of the gullible individual. The wavy structures in the corners are highly effective as symbols of the situation. When trapped in the corner there is truly no way out. You shall be drowned in the sea of darkness. Previous victims have been emulated into decorations of confusion. Without a soul a human body is nothing more than an aesthetic carcass. The whole tyrannical impression of seduction embraces the feeling satisfaction. The subroutine of the mind is easily misled through perceptual blindness. In this human jungle there is not an aspect we can rely on simply because we shift our perceptions. That same shift of perception is perfectly symbolized here by the bottom left, the strong black and purple line lead to a misconception of reality to invade the senses.

Rik.. now I want to build you a monument. I was expecting your words on this like ambrosia... but once more, you've surpassed my expectations, for the depth of your insight. Thank you also all above for trying to read within this image of mine. you all have done a great job with interpretations. And every little detail, placement.. texture and pose.. has its meaning :) Hugs everyone :)

I must agree, excellent atmosphere..those strong colours give a special look to it!!!Awesome work!
Synapse
eheh :-) You know me enough by now to guess that I don't like the colour combination... although I guess that in your mind these colours all had significance. We both know yours and my approaches to colour are very very different :-)
Aside from this the composition works, the mirrored statue is framing you well, negatively caressing your head. Wish you a great weekend hugs :-)
Niutek
If you were trying to convince us of your dark side existence, then I'm convinced, alright. It's a really creepy compo, perfectly matches the song and title. Like @Synapse, I'd say the colors are to vivid for my taste, but it's your trademark, part of your own style. Have a great weekend! :)
enax
It's the better portrait of you I've seen. You must put it in the photo-gallery. Well, maybe you'll see this on monday but happy marriage and weekend :)
crrunchyfrog
Whoa...don't piss Meli off LOL Brillaint composition, but I find the green a little garish too, yet, in a way that adds to the darkness of the image. Thank you so much for sharing this angel girl ;) hugest hugs Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the special celebrations ;)
tallpindo
She seems to want to project a force or waif to whisk away evil and the closing in of unwanted attention. Still far back in the eyes is a desire to draw in favorable fun that is conflicted by the sirens wailing for attention. Having a bust between bookend statues gives no place for studies. Chartreuse and purple is just wine. Wine will come.

mmmm something new and very goooood... like it oooo more than just like it i adore it... ;)
nagishiva
Absolutely fantastic. :) I love when you bring out this side in your art. You are just as great with this as with the 'normal'. :) And knowing the feelings and vibes that you have taken the thoughts from..and also the connection to the Radiohead song and video just gives it such a massive impact. Totally love it. A fantastic way to start the weekend. Yes it is a dark piece but it is filled with power :)
Doublecrash
Just a touch of beautifully chosen colors and a wonderful composition, Meli... considering our similar tastes in almost everything, I think I should retry to listen to Radiohead. I specially like the three figures surrounding the central expression. Walling her in. Whoa.
