Oh help me, Lord, to calm my mind
When troubles do abound
When daily life can be unkind
And stress is all around.
Give me strength to conquer fear
And faith to understand
When in my eyes there forms a tear
Let Jesus take my hand.
Oh help me, Lord, to realize
The Spirit and the Power
Dwelling not on things unknown
But growing by the hour.
Let me look inside this flesh
And raise myself above
That I may patiently abide
Within Your Grace and Love.
Oh help me, Lord, when I might fall
To stand again for Thee
And journey on the Glory path
Your Son hath lit for me.
