Description

As seconds and minutes and hours pass us by We watch as the weeks, months and years seem to fly Fleeting and temporal, and not meant to last The present and future, all wind up the past. So what is the purpose, and for what the endeavor To exist in a life that won't last forever? What is the gain, and what is the cost If the things that we value, all will be lost? If these are the questions you're asking yourself Then take down the Bible you stored on a shelf Read God's holy word, and the purpose is clear Workout your salvation, with trembling and fear. Learn of His Son,the Light and the Way Obey His commands, and do not delay You'll then know the purpose, for which you endure The hope for a life, eternally pure. Without Him there's nothing but suffering and pain For sin is but death, and Christ is but gain. Then value your soul, make sure it's not lost And remember that Jesus has paid all the cost.

I understand your purpose and your calling, Artlady. Unfortunately, many do not understand your desire to share the Love of your life - you share your love of God, not as judgement, but because of your concern for their future. You speak of the One you love - and only want others to enjoy the same fellowship you do. Keep sharing from your heart, Artlady.

Yes Amen to that! Fantastic poem! I hope that it hits home to those who are lost, but to those who also know him. I have enjoyed your writings. They are light and wonderfully flowing. They come from the heart and those are the best kind.
