Description

Hi! This is the third revision of the Stanley Plane. Seems like I'm doing one revision a year ;) but this will be the last (maybe *g*) Some people said that this plane doesn't exist, but this is not future-style, but very close, though re-designed version.

Very nice image.....impressive modelling and material choice. The only thing I would say is that the handles could do with some work re the material, ie more realistic wood effect (is it wood?), but good work nevertheless.

I've seen them around..like the way it cleaves the x plane..or is it on a z axis?..;)

Nice work. I agree with Mike on the materials. The modelling looks great!! Some real challenging shapes to model here. I'd like to see a wire of this. Well as I can't fault your modelling I'll have to nit pick at something else - "A plane should never be left like this, it should always be left on it's side to avoid damage to the delicate blade". :o) Keep up the good work. Look forward to more!!

Hi! Thanks for these really helpful comments. I realy appreciate comments that help. i'll try to improve the material of the handles. it isn't wood but plastic. but may be it would have a better look if it IS wood. I'll give it a try ;) I'll render a wireframe of this scene and publish it on my website in the 3d Art-Gallery. www.lightray.at ;)

I didn't think the handles were wood, but perhaps metal because of the reflective quality they possess. I love your use of materials and light. Is this a NURBS model? Just beautiful!

When you look at something and your hands "feel" it simply from the visuals, you know you have really captured the essence of that visual. Fantastic work.

Exceptional photorealism and technically impeccable. Though haven't tried 3DS yet can say that the render is superb. Like it very much, textures choice is brilliant!
