Description

hi there! this is based upon an image i saw in a newspaper some time ago. i instantly realized that i had to try an copy this scene in 3dmax *g* yeah, i know the colors are a "bit" blown out in the background, and i surely realized the grain hanging around everywhere ;-) it's still wip after all... but besides from this i would really appreciate any tips on how to improve the "photosurrealism" *g* ah, yeah, by the way: this was rendered in 27mins using brazil... ciaoo

hey dude. nice work, when u turn up the quality settings it will be wiciked. as for photorealism, try adding some imperfections on the walls, maybe a stain where the plant has been watered, and some more physical detail around the tops of the walls. the more detail, the better. then it will look amazing. :)

The model looks pretty good. The only thing I would add to the model are some rounded edges. Everything has at least some roundness to its edges. You need to work a lot more on the materials but I would assume you already knew that. Definitely some stains and just a slight grime to all your walls will give them a little variation which will help the photorealism tremendously. The lighting is just screaming for area shadows...Pull that sun a long way back from your scene and give it area shadows....A little rule of thumb I use is to make my suns area shadows blur about 1 inch for every 10 feet of shadow distance cast. I love the view and can't wait to see the next update.

the ilumination in this scene was perfect in every way, the light over the color, the shadows, the textures. all become more perfection than a real place :)

well..it is great scene..but some dirty materials may give some realism... this scene reminds me my last time in TUNISIA...well tunisia and marroco and algeria had the seiliar architecture(almost) nice stuff..i wish i had this idea before u...jocking!!!!i looking forward to the final scene..dont miss the joy of this scene!!!!

well, thanks guys for the nice comments, i really appreciate your advice...i'll try and take all your points into account in the next version...but please be patient, i'm not a very quick worker after all... @seraph135: yeah, i know about the round edges, in fact everything DOES have round edeges, but maybe it isn't THAT visible ;-)...and i also know about detail, as you already have guessed but i'm total newbie at texturing, so i've got a lot work to do there...my thing is lighting, i like to play around with all kinds of settings and stuff and see what's coming out of it... so long and thanks for all the fish... ;-)
