Is fine, but the terrain is prefabricated, maybe you must try to create your own terrain and sky...

It's a good start, and everyone must start somewhere. It is true the more you work at it, the rewards will come. A lot of practice, trial and error (more error than anything else) and you will see your talent grow. It is true few are born with talent, everyone must nurture it and encourage it. It is an interesting idea, expand on it, and improve it! Lots of luck...

It is true more diversity of colors, textures, and shapes make the best art. Simplicity has its place as well, but try to create something that is a delight to see, and your rewards will follow.
