Description
This is the final version of a picture I submitted 2 weeks ago. It was inspired in part by NIN's Hurt and my past religious experience.

Guilt and fear is a weapon or tactic for some religions. It does more harm than good. If you believe in God you know that He/She is not about that. Very thought provoking artwork. Bravo!

At times I think of this. I would imagin this is how that soldeir felt after he said This was the son of God. But I got to say that guilt can do good or harm depending on how you act on it. Think of it. This man nailed the son of God to the cross. There is the guilt. But Jesus offered himself up to take away our guilt. Godly sorrow leads to repentance. We can sit there in our guilt, or we can Go to Jesus and ask forgivness. He gives us a clean mind. So guilt can lead us to him, so we can be forgiven, and have the guilt removed. This is a great pic. The shadow of the cross is a good touch. But one would have to understand what Jesus really did before they can see this pic is more than guilt, it also offers hope.
