Very cool! I love tree people.

very good. I love the roots, and the feeling they give of upwarding view, while his head bends down in contrast. the apple is a nice touch too.

Meli=)! Thanks for your comment, but i saw your observations upside down (after a good night of sleep). The contrast in the head is quite annoying, because it stands out without any reason..and that apple is awful!. Damn, I should always have a second look before putting my work to sleep.

The apple throws the concept of balance out of the window ;) I could say that the head symbolizes the urge for safety and we develop or explore. The roots are our base from which we start, the branches represent growing future.

Ooooh, I love disputation. I say keep the apple - without it, the balance is TOO pure. Nothing in life is fully balanced, and I suspect that the magical and fantastical kingdoms (if they exist) are the same. The apple implies an ever-so-slight imbalance, but also fruitfulness, ripening, the gift of sustenance. Giving birth, or fruiting, isn't tidy and symmetrical. Must also say I love the motion and delicacy of the whole piece.

An exquisite piece of art, very fitting of a museum...

Beautiful and sensitive work. Now my two pennies worth (yeah yeah, I'm British LOL)... I don't think the contrast ruins the head as it's not pronounced enough to stand out too much. Don't like the apple though... it draws my eye away towards it and becomes the focus of attention that it should not be :-)
