Description

Just a render of my Deepsea Fangtooth model. It's almost done, have some tweaking to do in the model and textures yet. Cinema 4D R8.1 with Bodypaint3D. Comments and suggestions are welcome! (Also let me know if it's just plain too dark!)

Not to dark here, looks good. I think you should add some other little floating creatures. Nice work! -- 3d_e

Nice model - looks like the tutorial for 3DS Max in 3D World last year...nice texturing though! Maybe one tip would be to make the teeth a bit more transparent. In the Fangtooth the teeth are made of a chitin type substance that's usually quite transparent.

Thanks for the tips & comments! The teeth are a bit translucent, but could use some tweaking (currently using a fresnel gradient for transparency). Didn't use any tutorials in this case, but they may have helped if I had (ugh the worst is trying to get lips and a mouth, and making sure the polys aren't screwed up - with Hypernurbs a diamond shaped hole would appear, driving me nutty until I just rebuilt the area).
