Minolta 404si, monochrome film
no postwork. this was my first try with monochrome film back in the autumn of 2000. This tree rises from church ground in the center of my home town. I think there's something very sinister in it...what do you think?

The tree seems just to grapple the sky... very cool picture!

Spooky tree, sooo cool. The monodhrome gives it a fantastic mood. If it stands in the churchyard it maybe is a soulcatcher?

I'm a total tree freak too, but then you probably noticed ;-) ... Very arresting image here, something almost biblical ;-)

There's a film from the '60s called, I think, The Wicker Man. It's about pagan religions and human sacrifice, and the central character is burned alive in a wicker cage. The film is in black and white and, despite the filmmaking style of that time, is quite sinister. This tree made me think of it immediately - twisted wood and paganism. Your POV adds to this perception, as do the bare branches. I could see this as the opening shot of a movie such as I've described.

I see a child caught in the tangle of branches in the foremost tree near the cluster of limbs... It makes it hard to breathe while looking at this picture.
Lumo, your talent extends further with this type of photography.
again, well done, Yoshi
