Description
scanned sketch, textures and brushwork with photoshop.
I'm in a lousy and frustrated mood today. I wanted to go outside to take some pics, but it had to be a rainy day..damn! But there's a bottomless box of forgotten sketches right beside my scanner waiting for a rainy day like this. I found this smudgy one, turned it upside down and doodled for a while. Of course it didn't look so great, but I scanned it still. Made some brushwork and threw some textures to give it some glow. It has the mood, but I couldn't quite get it to work the way I wanted. It must be rainy day that's driving me crazy.

wish you sun comes back soon, but this is not bad at all...

So elusive. And yeah, it maybe has some of the vibe of a rainy day. It looks to me like the parent figure has had to quickly move its head to the side to avoid being clouted by the dove which looks quite malevolent to me here. I definitely feel a tension here, despite the soothing colour scheme.

these woods are cursed they say love the mood in this one mikko, it looks so tender and wild in a way, the dove ready to protect whatever comes to disturbe the peace is scary, stunning use of negative space, how i wish to be able to doodle like u do my friend!!!

To me the mood of waiting is so strong that even the dove has frozen in it's flight. Soft, tender and beautiful!

this is very wonderful, if it springs from your mood , then it shows a true artist inside... @};-

Mysterious, tender and a little unsettling!

For me I see fear of the bird only in the parent. I think the infant would like to break free and travel with the bird. What a great picture to give so many stories. Murph

beautifully subtle, I love the brushwork.

I can't put words to my feelings of this one. It's totally visceral. Thank you.

I'm having trouble finding words for this one too but it has an intensity of feeling I absolutely love!
