Description
Compare these two renderings with "Feet of the Giant". Some of you may remember an old -- and beloved by me -- program called VistaPro 4. The top rendering is by VP4, except for the sky which is a Terragen creation. VP4 never was very good at clouds. The bottom rendering is by Terragen entirely. No post work was done.
Even the VP4 rendering has to give thanks to Terragen. First, I used 3Dem to create Terragen terrain of the Olympus Promontory. Then in Terragen, I saved the terrain as "VistaPro-compatible binary." That was then imported into VP4. Nice thing about VP4 is that it allows you to use all sorts of textures.
