Description

The great Kasei River flows out into the Chryse Sea. Although I've depicted this scene with an apparently long-running river which has had time to drop a lot of its sediments, the real river was probably a muddy, rubble-filled torrent. But, hey, I like blue rivers better. This is actually a careful composite of two separate renderings in Terragen. One with a bluish sky and the other with a more tradition Martian pink sky. Also, the water textures were different in each rendering in order to get a bit more randomness in the waves. I still had to go in and smudge up a few of the sometimes too linear waves.

This is very nice -- is the title a Fates Warning reference?
