Well classically Persephone was a sweet young girl .. no horns mentioned as I recall. As for your lady? perhaps a more demonic skin texture would be suitable. ALso, consider cropping the left and right sides of the image in .. there's no reason to have all that empty space hanging around

TigerShark: Yeah I know the classical Persephone is a young beautiful girl. Still, there is no reason why I cannot put an artistic spin on it and decide to enphasize the "Queen of the Underworld" portion of it is there? Also, I chose to keep the space on left/right sides since several people on my site asked to to do so while showing WIPS of this image. They wanted to use as a desktop :-) Lastly, I chose to keep the non-demonic skin because of the calssical notions of what/who Persephone was.... That is the cool part about art. Speaking of which I wanted to check your stuff out but I could not find any..hrmmm. Thanks for the comment anyhow :-) /gz

Maybe she only looks like this in the Winter months when she has to stay in Hades. In the Spring, you will need another render. Say, "Persephones Return"? This is an interesting take on the myth.

I love this image - very imaginative! Don't fret about tigershark - he only comments on images to point out what he considers faults. Remember the reasoning behind art is in the mind and heart of the creator - it is your vision. Besides after a millenia in the underworld she was bound to take on some demonic qualities to help scare the damned. ;-)

I love the lighting on this one. While I agree she looks nothing like the classical Persephone, I don't care :-)

From working with Persephone in Eleusinian Mysteries--she only starts out as a sweet young girl-- as so many of us did. Then she becomes Queen of Hell and genuinely frightening. Superior use of those wings and yet another fine use of the horn pak without going too monstrous. Love the face, touch of cynicism there. Maybe the Underworld disappoints?

This is a great piece of renderwork! You even caught a shadow behind her hand. Not easy. Love her face and the spiraling pose and composition. Masterful.
