Well in this image I rendered 5 copies at 8 hours a piece, 40 hours total, in order to apply the very slight motion blur to the objects, I used the motion blur method I posted above to achieve this. The only sphere with no motion blur is the one ontop of the cylinder (for reference).
Enjoy.

I would say you have to much time on your hands but then you might stop making these awsome images. Simply Excellent render and work of art!
shadowdragonlord
That's awesome, Ornlu! But I'm wondering if you could recreate the same effect in post, without all the downtime? Still, your techniques are revolutionary, impressive!
Ornlu
You could creat it in post. But you see, now that I have created this scene, I can easily apply the effect in several different ways and change it to my whims. Not to mention that the bright spots act like light sources (due to the fact that they are) and add some interesting illumination to the image. Also, if I wanted to re render it and change the resolution, add more spheres etc. I wouldn't have to re-make the scene in postwork. Plus, it didn't take that long to make. Only about 2-2.5 hours (once I had figured out how to create the effect) in post it would take that long and I'd have only 1 copy.

I love it.Looks like oil beads suspended in water.
