Description

The original post of the first design of this ring can be found here. Original Post Rendered in an attempt to draw some serious realism out of these puppies... The render took 15 hours total on Premium effect AA. I really like the way the volumetrics turned out in this image. I used a slight LDRI dome that I designed for this image in order to creat a slight variation in the reflections. Enjoy, comment if you can.

LOVE the ruby one...grins, but then again, is my birthstone....and LOVE the sapphire ring..blue is my favorite color.. Honestly, very awesome detail work, and such fine detail...very very nice....grins.... (pokes da hubby and points to the screen, tells him, I want one of those!)

Looks incredibly real! I've handled jewelry for years and I'll bet I could stick your render in a catalog and people would be convinced it was a photograph of an actual pair of rings!

Goddam BEAUTIFUL render, my friend! The rings are complex and well-done, of course, but all in all I'm mesmerized by all the color shifts and clarity here!
