Description

This image actually dates from January. It was my entry for the Renderosity magazine issue 5 cover contest. I had always intended to post it in my gallery after the results were announced. But then I had my hard drive crash in February and lost the artwork. Completely forgot about it. Then, the other day, I was having a spring clean through my PC at work, what should I find but the full-res CMYK TIFF of this image (I did not have a broadband connection back in January, and had used my work machine to ftp the file to the magazine staff) and decided to post it at long last :-) Photoshop 7 and Painter 5 Derived from "seed" image by RR staff Thanks for looking :-)

Kudos to you for this excellent image, Jim. It has a creepy voyeuristic feel to it (in my mind, anyway) in the way that the muse is eyeing the seed... Thanks for sharing hugs :D (from Matt this time)

This one is excellent and has philosophical content. I love how the eyes and mouth are represented. A thirst for admiration and knack for 15 minutes of fame. Press the button/ I can talk/ there is nothing/ in my head.

Getting people's differing responses fascinates me utterly, because I rarely think of anything directly representational when I do my stuff. People can say "you must have meant..." (insert philosophy here) and I'll just say "not really, I just thought it looked good" ;-D
So thanks everyone for your interpretations, it's what fascinates me most :-)

This piece has all the taste of Etruschi's masks in before ancient latin times. It's impressively similar to those works, and knowing where it offspring from, it just tells one thing: art , real art is eternal. Patterns of languages come back :)
