Description

It is so smokey here from the fire that you can't see more than a thousand feet in any direction with any clarity. The atmosphere is kind of cool but everything smells like smoke. Today I could stare directly at the sun on a cloudless day.

I think you have exceeded the average level of romanticism here. A totally unromantic but most apt description of the sensation it gives me would be that there's an imaginary hand reaching from that boat, grabing my insides and pulling me in. It almost hurts. Stunning shot. fav/vote

Do they have the fire under control yet?I hope so...even though it gave you a unique photo opportunity I hate to think of the loss of it all. This photo is really amazing and kind of spooky. Take care not to suck in too much smoke,my friend.

Nice, and very well composed... And yes.. smoke can make for some wonderfull images ("Sol" in my gallery is a sunset with smoke creating the red color as the sunlight shined through the clouds).
