BIO
Since 1993 the Dutch couple, Willem and Madeleine, have been working together in different fields of the arts and chose Hyperborea, as their professional name.
Being sculptors by trade, they have created a substantial collection of stone and bronze sculptures.
They've discovered the realm of computer graphics and this resulted in a large number of 3D renderings of alien landscapes inhabited with graceful life forms.
Most recently they have been working together on various projects in which they combine their sculptures, 3D artworks and original electronic ambient music into multi-media presentations.
Living in the south of The Netherlands, they have their own gallery and sculpture garden where visitors can experience their work.

The emeperor seems to be reading out from a scroll. Passing a judgement or reading out some new rules for the state?? Great render my dear friends. How you put life into rock, it's a gods gift. :)

I'm running out of ways to express my feelings for this series. This one is just so totally alien. I imagine travellers discovering this when leaving earth and this would be the first indication that we're not alone.

Perfect sky and atmosphere, very good texture and last but not least very nice overall scene layout!

Very interesting. I haven't seen every single image you've done, but this is the very first where the "creature" (s) of the piece is actually touching the earth. The "last emperor" creature looks to me to be lifeless - grounded, with no sheen or glow to it. But the "eggs" on the right (our POV) are the hope for the future. It's reminiscent of the notion of an elephants' graveyard. Found this to be quite moving.
