Description

I was camping a few months ago, on an island in Algonquin Park, and this was pretty much the view I had. All Bryce, no postwork. Comments and feedback welcome.

The water is very good as are the trees and the terrain. Oh, OK, it's all very good. (But I like the water best)

Very beautiful. Your framing of the water with the trees is very well done.

A very lovely scenary done with lots of patience , I can see that. You work very well on details. I really love the ground texture on the second mound from the left. The semi wetness of the soil is very well captured. How much this ware, Bryce can do, depends on the artists who are using it and you are proving me right. Also, it's a treat to see work in which there is hardly any post work done. I rate this as excellent. :)

What a beautiful place to camp, and a beautiful image to complement it. The texturing of the left mid shore is awesome.

The trees on the right could certainly be raised but I think you would then lose the shape of their reflections in the water, which to me is a very striking part of this image. Perhaps some compromise between sizing the loon and the trees might work best. I think you`ve captured the moment, Michael. Lovely pic.

I agree with Sambucus about the importance of the reflection in the water of the trees on the right and they are a striking part of the image. Short of enlarging them and possibly losing the reflection quality, maybe you could bring the Loon a bit closer annd keep the same size for it. If yo do nothing else to the picture, it still remains a great effort and is soothing to look at.

I really like your scene and the peace and tranquility of it. Hey, is it just my eyeballs(I drove almost 800 miles today)or is your farthest left terrain (with the trees)"floating" just a bit? I admit this could be an optical illusion, and my eyes are tired.

I love the ground mat on the left, and the beautiful reflections.

Nice image Mloates... Very tranquil and pleasant scene. Looks like it would be a nice place to camp and enjoy some solitude with nature. 8)

Thanks for the info about the loon--I'll re-scale it. Danamo, no the terrain isn't floating--the fog gives it that slightly blurry look. Thanks everyone, for the feedback.

I just love the tree in the left foreground and the reflection properties of the water!
