Description

Hi everyone. I'm trying my hand with the different modeling tools, specially NURBS, and sloooowly getting the hang of it. Some items (the vase, the remote) are modeled following various tuts. I'm also beginning to explore the various light settings and rendering options: this is rendered with AA Best, volumetric ligthing and glow effect on the curtains and the window. It's still a WIP, I plan to add lots of things in the room (and maybe get rid of that rocking-sofa, ehm), but I wanted to have some feedback. This is my first C4D render ever, so please... have no mercy, because I want to learn! :) Thanks for looking, Stefano

Very impressive for your first try in C4D. The only things I see that could be improved is the shadows coming off the coffee table, the light has washed all but one away and it looks like it is floating. Also the rocking sofa is ever so slightly below the surface of the floor. At least it looks that way from here. Other than these, it is very good indeed. One last thing, Does this mean that you are abandoning Bryce??

For the most part, your lighting is excellent, and your modeling is progressing nicely! Your material choices are exquisite as always :) Your style is showing through!

since it's your first, and you hinted i should say so, i'll say "it's terrible". that being said, it's really cool and i like it alot! which do you believe. i guess i shouldn't say anything until your 1000th, but it's a great start, always easy to tell the artist who has a clear idea. so, it's another brilliant image and not that different from the ones you do so well in bryce. but NURBS are a gas, wish bryce had some. nice to have two modelers, that's why i pop into carrara mode.

Looks like you'll grasp the concept of C4D as quickly as you mastered Bryce judging by this effort.

Stefano, truly, you are on a great way, because this looks really marvelous for your first render!!!!My hat off to you..I wish my first C4D render looked like this :P However I think the "chair" (or whatever it is) seems to float in the air!

You've done some very advanced things here, and quite well, may I add. It's my opinion that you have a natural flair for this, so, indeed, keep up the efforts! Well done.
