Description

HDRI image mapped to a sphere. The sphere is at 10% transparent, 1% diffuse, and 98% luminous. It is set to color transmitted light, cast shadows but not recieve shadows. The hdri image is also mapped into the transparency function so the brighter areas are more transparent. Objects are lit by 133 lights with soft shadows. Most are point lights, but I put a few spots behind the sun to give it some more strength. The pedestal is recieving shadows but not casting. I had to play with the power on the lights and the exposure to get the best effect.
