Description
Poser figure rendered in Bryce.Everything else done in Photoshop.Reading a book about the gold rush of 1849(hence ,the 49ers) and this image came to mind..A quite history byte.Although the precise number of women heading west in 1849, 1850 and 1851 is not discoverable, nearly every trail diary mentions their presence. For 1852, the Fort Kearny register offers hard data. By July 13 of that year, a fort subordinate stationed on the road had tallied the passing by of 7,021 women and 8,270 children

I trust that you will not consider this harsh. You said it yourself (women of the gold rush did not look this way) For me because you attache a story line than deliver something different this diminishes the quality of the image. However color wise and over-all look is quite good. My point is to be constructive, and not just saying OH thats great. I feel that a comment of this type is meaningless. Regards

What coincidence, I just recently watched a documentary regarding one of goldrushes and they spent a good deal of time explaining the situation of women who joined as well as read excerpts from some diaries. Anyway, beautiful background and fantastic pose.
