Description

Though she stands alone, she will not lose Faith in God. Though the voices she held so dear are newly become memories, she will not give in to bitterness and hate. As the enemy approaches just beyond the outer walls, she will stand resolute and pray for some unforseen salvation from her present danger or the strength to face her final hour with courage and with honor. And though God's hand may not hold at bay the evil of this day, she rests her soul in the knowledge that His hand will hold her to His heart when at last the darkness comes. And when the Morning comes once more, the radiant Son will never set again. A fairly quick piece to illustrate a moment and thought from my imagination and personal faith. Comments welcome. Wonderful image... but the perpective on the battlements...is a bit off...if you where going for realizeisum...as no battlements would be so low as to let her stand that high above it.espically in armor....while I know why ya did it and it makes for stunning effect... it does make her seem very over sized in relation to the tower ....or was that the point..? as she most certainly is the focal point of the whole thing....love the words too by the way.. very nicely done... yours Esta

Thanks Esta. No not going for realism at all. Maybe she's standing on top of a catapult to get a better vue ;-) OK, maybe not. Just goes to show I know next to nothing about real castles. The effect and the story were all I was going for. Enjoy.

Interesting title when you consider your comments under it. I'll venture a guess at what comes after the "..." in your title. Maybe something like, "Though she stands alone...she is not alone" For He is with her and He will never leave her or forsake her. Put on the full armor and STAND. Great image, great thoughts, blessings to you!
