------------- SGL 2 - Ferintethyr Fey

Damien stood before the assembly and waited patiently. They mumbled on, quietly trading political deals, and treating him like he wasn't even there. It was to be expected. All that really surprised him here was the newest member to the assembly. For whatever reason, their silent partner had decided to remain silent no longer. At the long table at the front of the room, atop a seven step stone dais, sat the ambassadors and emissaries of the constituent nations of the Legacy Congress. At their right, the newest and previously silent member, Ambassador Kheldar Honglathor, General of the Drovikallum Foreign Office and Director of the Occupation Forces of the Splinter Kingdom. The Drovikallum had finally made their interests in the Legacy official.

As his first act as a voting member, General Honglathor had moved that a second Silver Gryphon Legacy team be created, one with less political clout, more direct combat experience, more specialization and less generalization. SGL 1 was to be the spearhead of any investigation, the scouts, investigators, and diplomats. SGL 2 was to be the heavy infantry. And Ambassador Honglathor had already selected the leader of the second team. Damien would meet her by the end of the day's proceedings and she would be exactly what he had expected, stern, humorless, militaristic and arrogant.

Ferintethyr Fey was one of five daughters of the Regent of the Splinter Kingdom, Bertryn Fey, the Mother of the Change. She, like two of her sisters, had been a priestess of Lolth under the old ways, before Lolth's final destruction. But like her eldest sister, Elvedra, Ferin had seen the new ways, the truth of a new God, and had converted to the worship of Treallar. One other sister had followed their lead. Two had not. Of those, only one remained, a rogue and wanted criminal, hiding somewhere in the Western UnderDark, plotting her return to power, no doubt. But even though she hadn't been the first to convert, there was little arguing that Ferintethyr had been the most devout. Of all the new Battle Priests and Priestess' of Treallar in the Splinter Kingdom, Ferin's soul was the most resolute, her heart as solid and unyielding as the adamant steel of Treallar's sword. So critical was she of everything and everyone that did not live up to the exacting standards of battle ready discipline that was Treallar's teachings, that Bertyrn Fey had sent her as an emissary to Carellon, and the Legacy. Damien was sure that had been simply to get rid of her.

As a politician and diplomat, she was less than useless. As a military commander, she was priceless. If this SGL 2 was to be a battle hardened band, Damien couldn't think of a better leader. Now to find six others.
