Description

This little guy is going to be a little comic-relief character for my independant study. I made him pretty quickly (~3 hrs), so I may add add a little more details in the future. The story has almost entirely changed, but I won't bore you with that. Anyway, enjoy!

Hmm... a model I like that I might actually have a chance to match in quality, given a week. Maybe I don't suck after all! Oh, wait, you did it in 3 hrs. Thanks for that.

Well, in one sentence the independant study is this: "A 3D-illustrated fantasy graphic-novel about a party made up of several 'alien' races are sent out on an interplanetary adventure." I don't want ot reveal too much now, since I am just in the initial stages and don't have a complete story nailed down, yet. Hopefully I can finish the project without running into the same problem Teyon had with Atrius - having someone else finish an identical story first. (sorry to bring up old memories bud.) I would have loved to make an animation out of it, but my computer could never handle what I want to do, and I really wouldn't have the time to get much done in one semester. A comic book would simply be too short and I don't intend on it being a long series (3 books max).

To answer samuribastard - no, I'm a senior (one year left) in college, trying to polish out my porfolio. I am not necessarily studying 3D design, but it plays a significant part in my graphic design and illustration classes. CSU has a pretty decent graphic design program, but no 3D (animation, nor modeling), aside from the very basic lightwave class I am helping teach.

Quite the model, and for taking 3 hours pretty efficient too I'd say :) I'd love to get under the chrome of that and see what it looks like underneath ;) Fantastic job.
