Description

Here is a view of the Enterprise on approach to the Constellation after the Doomsday machine had at it. There are some significant errors in the paint job but I've been busy and haven't had a chance to fix it yet. Please provide constructive criticism! This was done completely in RDS. I need to try it in Carrara with the new renderer but I've had troubles with the changes that occur with the shading. Not too many people remember this ship from classic Star Trek.

Nice detail work. Did you model the Doomsday Machine, too? That would be interesting to see. --

I haven't done the doomsday machine yet. I'm hoping to make some kind of image for all 12 starships of this class and make a calendar. Maybe someday I'll get around to that nasty funnel of badness.

Very nice job, Kixum.... I'd love to see a little more detail in the primary hull's girders beneath the blown-away skin. Cool pic, though. Much better than any of the effect from the old series.

WOW.. great trek image...maybe a bit more shine to the ships.. to give them a more metallic feel ?

It's always difficult to know how to work old Star Trek models. The footage is pretty old.

You've a perfect approach to the Classic TREK ships. Too polished and they don't really look right. As for the doomed Constellation, that was one of my favorite episodes. William Windom was brilliant as the grief-crazed Matt Decker!

Plenty of people remember that episode, no worries! One of my favorites of the real Star Trek!
