Description

This is one of my better Enterprise images. The biggest shortfall is the font for the numbering on the primary hull. I haven't been able to get that font! Rendering with this many lights takes a long time and the light cones didn't help my render time either. Star Trek is one of my most favoritest subjects! Hope you like it. Constructive criticism wanted!

I love ST too, very nice. Have you tried themeworld or tucows for the font?

This entire image was created in RDS. I haven't tried it in Carrara yet.

Top notch! I love the old Enterprise best, and you even achieved the cheesy look of the engine fronts ;-)

Too cool! Amazing what we can do today with less than a thousand bucks worth of hardware and software; this would have completely blown away everyone back when the old show was on. I know I've seen the font somewhere; I've looked for fonts through a search engine. It's bound to be out there.

I did a search on the "Enterprise" on this site and quite a few examples popped up (I did get the font by the way THANKS!). One of the comments on one of the other pictures was that the Enterprise is the hello world of beginner 3D artists. I also have heard the same comment about Star Wars and that's the other thing I'm really into at the moment. So, while I'm re-doing from scratch 0 what everybody else has given a try, I'm learning a whole lot and I'm thankful for the comments and patience of everyone else (not another trek picture). I've never imported a model from somewhere else. I don't know how hard or easy that is.

I think I have the font around here somewhere. Isn't that the Crillee font? Let me check my HD. If I can find it, I can send it along... I just wish that there was Earth or some other planet's clouds in the background myself. I like it a bit busier in the background, but I'm a bit odd that way. ;)

Nice shuttles! I really like the background too. Makes it look like it's in a cool nebula.
