Description

Looking for feedback here. I have been working on this for a couple of hours now and am not sure how to progress. As the title suggests, I want to make the farthest towers a "generator" with energy rippling between the towers (will be post render work). I think I also need a ship in the forefront as a main subject. I am also toying with the idea of adding figures in the lower left platform to define the scale of the pidture.

Personally, I thing Aship would be a little much, however, the figure idea would make a great subject. Perhaps looking off into the distance to guide the viewer to your actual subject (which I am inclined to be drawn to) the towers. GREAT PIECE!

I love the upper half of the image, the lower half is a bit hard to asses... shapes and colors blend in a lot. I think your idea of adding people could help. The rounded edges look scary to walk around on, maybe that's why the don't strike me as platforms for people...?

I agree with darkness59 - a ship may detract - the generator should be the focus (the prescence of people looking in that direction would help). I also agree with Yvan, there need to be more lighting/colour to help sort out the "jumble" of buildings - thanks people....

I thinks its got great potential, I love the far buildings and the overall feel of the piece!, maybe the scale and distance would be helped by increasing the haze a little, might lower the confusion issue. I too think a ship would be great ( maybe 2!?) in the foreground, preferably in a distinctly opposite colour like red or something!? - very much reminds me of work by a scifi artist of the 70's/80's, Peter Elson!

More haze it is, experimental ships wil be docking soon. I just thought that a "glow" in the lower middle trough of buildings would be good too...Watch this space....

This is very good. It looks like a matte painting for a movie. Check out www.goodbrush.com for a great matte painter for tips and ideas.
