Description

Hi everybody... the more I use it, the more I love C4D! My slow study of shading continues... C4D r8.1, HDRI probe used as a sky object, two yellowish omnis (the left one volumetric), surface caustics on. Rendered with best AA at 2560x2048 (at the end it said that I hadn't enough memory to perform the focus blur pass, sigh), no postwork. Rendertime about 5 hours. _____ This image is for my friend Jimbo Lemon, aka lemonjim who gave me inspiration to do it. Hope you like it, Jim... even if I wasn't able to model any food [ok, the butter, but it somewhat sucks :)]. And I do hope you won't mind if I've hidden my hommage to your art in such a trivial manner ;-) [*] [*] For those interested, the wonderful drawing almost invisible under the milk bowl is lemonjim's Swirling, one of the beautiful flower images he does with Corel Painter and lots of talent. Check out his gallery and his website, you won't regret it! ______ Ok, sorry for all the rambling. Being still a complete newbie in C4D, comments and criticism on how to improve this image are really, really welcome. Have a wonderful weekend! :) Stefano

You're getting there FAST stefano... GREAT work! Only thing is that the knife is not symmetrical. I've never seen a knife that's asymmetrical (but that can of course also be a shortcomming of me :)

Stefano, I am envious because you were already so brilliant with Bryce - now you have gone and learned another fantastic program - and seem to have as much talent with it as you do Bryce! (I only wish I had the time/your skills to learn C4D too) You are amazing! Keep up with your learning so we can all get some more "Eye-Candy"! Thank you for posting my friend!

Ulp - A feast for my eyes! i'm (honored and) humbled when i think how difficult this would be for me. It took a minute to find the hidden art - you dog! Now on to lunch! Simply awesome my friend, you're terrific. My cursor just voted - all by itself.

very photo-real; so basically, you never sleep, right? I can't critique it 'cause I don't know how to work cd4, but it seems ok to me!

You are definitely proving that it is the artist's brain that is his most valuable tool. Your style comes thru, even with a new program. I agree that the pitcher should have milk, and maybe the glass should have juice instead of water... but, most important, where is my coffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee??
