It does work out well, Tania. With dark brownish grey dominating the background it reminds me of old photographs, and silver is for new things to come. That's my first impression.

the golden, grey & silver hues work beautifully, absolutely luv your trademark butterfly with the glittery sparkley trail & those sensuous lips... i suppose the only thing i might question is her hand under her chin, that is her hand & wrist right? luv the title... insomnia, could sleep, but prefer the night life of my studio :]

Jewelry made of light and life; you've created a bracelet only for dreams. Where is the border between awake and sleep?

Oh Tanialmeida! This is simply stunning! You know, I tried creating something similiar by using your tutorial and it came out so bad that I wouldn't even show it to my dog...if I had one. :) So, I'll leave this creative genious style to you where it obviously belongs! Tones are lovely BTW!

Lost for words...as ever and forever enslaved by the mystical spell that every image you create becomes a living vision before my blue eyes...a soul wrapped in chains, spellbound, willingly.

Dark grey and silver mmmm, well silver is sorta grey on a computer screen, the reflectivity doesn't really come through on the silver. What you have there works well though. Contrast, as long as there is contrast, it will pop. ;)

Though the silver comes through more as white, it has a nice sparkle to it. And it is a nice contrast with the darker sepia tones. As a mood piece, it works beautifully. CC

The color works great for giving a tranqual or old feeling to the image. Classic is probable a good word.

I have to agree with everyone else that the colors work just fine. I also like the way the flower presses outside the picture's border, which is an effect I'd like to see you experiment with further. Oh, have to add that I really like the way the title "in ... somnia" plays with the meaning of the word. As you know, I like words. ;)
