That is me working all the time!BIOFabian was born in Switzerland in 1969, the year of Woodstock. After completion of the regular school he took 2 years of college level and 1 year of university level at the teachers college in the historic city of Solothurn. From 1988 to 1989 he studied at the School for Applied Arts and Design in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. 1992 Fabian added a university level year in science at the Minerva School in Basel. After that he did autodidactic studies further in computer animations and programming combined with several workshops by Apple, Avid, Discreet, Adobe and Macromedia.
During Fabians later school years he played in a postmodern punk band together with his brother Stefan. The Unerstlichen recorded two vinyl discs and a CD and was well recognized in the European underground music scene.
After the school Fabian founded the ARG inventors workshop in 1989. With that company he created concepts and furniture for fashion boutiques and trendy offices.
1993 - 1995 Fabian was head of workshop at a home for cerebral paralyzed people; he created a concept for occupational therapy and medicated the physical and mental handicapped people in water therapy and hippo therapy.
Fabian studied intensive Japanese Martial Arts and achieved 1996 the 1st Dan black belt in Aikido.
In 1996 Fabian took his wife to the Netherlands where he worked 1 year on an 11 Meter steel sailing yacht.
In 1997 Fabian, his wife Brigitta and Ivo Wejgaard founded Bizarre Film Productions. They produced short films, TV-commercials and music clips. Soon they founded together a sister company: D-Face Video Post Production. They acquired an Avid DS (High-end non-linear video editing system) and served the Swiss advertising marked. Fabian was responsible for the creative aspect of the production and advised the directors in visual effects and creative concepts. He invented the Rotation-High-Speed-Camera and created the appearance of the new Swiss Music Television during his time with Bizarre Film Productions. Fabians background in fine arts and graphic design allowed him to create also the corporate identity for both of the companies.
Fabian applied in the year 2000 for a visa to Canada. During the immigration process he run a multi media company named Filmbit GmbH. Successfully he produced CD-ROMs, Animations for the Big Screen and interactive content for the Web.
Landed in Canada in September 2001, Fabian and Brigitta decided to move to the British Columbias Sunshine Coast, inspired by the awesome scenery. After settling down in Sechelt, Fabian started to work for the Vancouver Film Industry. He created a fully CG (computer graphics) animated TV-commercial for Golden Valley Food Corporation.
As a co-founder of the Sunshine Coast Film Commission Fabian created in late fall 2002 a promotional short movie with only aerial shots featuring the Sunshine Coast.
In May 2003 Fabian is directing his debut in dramatic film: Fabian created and produced the short film Bear Attack for the 9th 24 Hour Film Contest in Vancouver.
Since July 2003 Fabian is Computer Playback Artist on the new Viacom TV-series Jake 2.0.
