------------- Tarquin 01
Of the three, he was physique personified. He was not beautiful, he was not Godly. His demonic blood gave him superhuman strength and constitution. His will and his discipline gave him endurance beyond even others of his kind. His skills were hard won. His Lord was the Master of Death, the new Elven God, the black skull in The Void. His blade was forged from the elemental destruction of the multiverse, its essence drawn from the very nothingness of The Void itself. Reaper was forged to him, an extension of his rage and hatred, the embodiment of his unquenchable thirst for vengeance. He was the first Soul Harvester, the first Minion of Talon.

Tarquin truly looks like his character....I think the eyes should be more piercing though due to his thirst for vengeance...u know? It's wonderful to be able to give a face to your characters now! Thanks!smile

You know, I like him much better in this form than in that nasty armor-piercing three-armed form he picked up in the Chaos Area... Very well done! I have to disagree with nirvy, tho. I think his eyes work well ^_^ Especially since they are one of the few things you can see in his face.

I liked that nasty armor-piercing three armed form though. It was so incredibly useful. The eyes look pretty good, although I've generally pictured them as obsidian orbs with maybe an underglow of red. I realize he's kind of hard to render as is without adding more black to his features. Wonderful figure for him, although you can apreciate it better in the rendering with Raptor. This scene is a little too dark. Tarquin gets lost in the background and there's not enough light to allow for even slight differntiation of his features.

Once again, the darkness here was quite intentional,... thought would lend to the dark mood of the character at this point in his existence. Plus there is a very good reason for him not being front lit,... the sun rise/set is on the horizon behind him, which can be seen from the color of the clouds,... if I had done this in Vue or Bryce, with a moderately realistic sky/shadow model, he'd be completely lost in shadow from the front, as would most of the scene. I had an old pic you did with green glowing eyes,... hmmm,... at any rate, in Talon's service, his colors become black & green anyway.
