Description

A friend of me and I had a little contest between him and me; who could render the most realistic billiard ball?.. This is my entry.

Well, copy whatever you specualr values are into reflection, and kill the specualr. That'll make it far better. (oh yeah, make sure it has something to reflect first)

an hdri image would be nice for the reflections on the ball. But it looks good without, also!

yes, use reflection rather than specular, use a very luminus object to reflect, or the bal would look a galss or a metal. add some dirt and scratches too, and finger prints....

Very very cool. If you are aiming towards realism then please don't leave out the texture on the felt and a bit more attention to the shadows. Well done!

Great Job. Try Anisotropic Shading, Its Under The Shading Tab, called "BRDF Shader".
