Description

I'm having a conversation with Daz1971 about how long it takes to do images; should we take a long or short time doing them? I.e. posing, lighting, etc. I'm of the opinion that the best images are ones you put together without thinking too hard about it. You can TOTALLY over-think an image. So as a test, I whipped this one together. It took, no schit, 17 minutes 6 seconds, including post time. Having good materials to work with helps tons! How do YOU feel about fast vs. slow image production?

No doubt when you got it you got it. If this was done in less then twenty minutes and it looks this good. One can only imagine what happpens when you spend time. I'm still trying to get the model's posed within twenty minutes and still haven't managed that feat. As a beginner though I do expect that with my skill level not being developed yet. All in all though this is a great picture.

I think you've just proven our point. This is a really, really good render. I love the lighting and the POV. There's no way you can tell from looking at it, that it took less than 20 minutes. I wonder if this is similar to the phenomenon where, if we think carefully and take our time before throwing a ball at a target, we miss it by a mile; but if we just pick up the ball and throw, we hit the target almost every time?

Youd better do what you feel good about doing. If we [try] to figure out what it is the audience wants and then try to deliver it to them, were lost souls on the ghost ship forever. Dan Rather Excellent work EPro you are right on the money with your comment Time is not important as long as the image proves its worth to the viewers.

I could spend 17 days and not turn out something as good as this, it helps if you have talent to start with.
