Description
This is one of several images I created for The Mars Society in 1999 as part of their efforts to promote a research station to be deployed in the Canadian arctic. The research station, known now as the Frameline Mars Arctic Research Station, was deployed and is used every summer by members of the Society and other groups (including NASA) to test procedures and equipment that may one day be part of manned missions to Mars.
Modeled and rendered in Ray Dream Studio (precursor to Carrara). The NASA logo, of course, is theirs.

memaci
Nicely constructed model. I especially like the subtle lighting effects and the distant hills.
Kixum
Totally agree with memaci.
