Description

Was brooding a bit. Built & lit in max 5, composited in Photoshop. The noise/grainy artifacts are deliberate. (Image created Mar. 13, 2003.)

Love the grainy look, and the simplicity of the B&W. Excellent concept as well! Job well done! Keep it up. :)

How did you light this?

Hey, good eye to even wonder that. I lit and rendered the scene three times; once with a skylight and a couple fills, once with omnis for hard shadows, and once with a low spot for the dark areas in the back. Then I composited all three in Photoshop, tweaking and blending here and there to get the final result.

Awesome again. Love the subtle expiration date. Thanks for the tips. Now I feel better about compositing in Photoshop to get the right lighting sometimes. Wonderful work.
