Finally, after twelve and a half years, I managed to get my daughter, Sarah, to sit long enough to have her portrait sketched. Can you tell the television was on and she couldn't see it?

9B and white pencil on cardboard, cleaned up in Photoshop.
Thanks for viewing :D

This is really lovely, excellent shading and the hair is very good as well. There is a kind of wistfulness and sadness about her eyes - very romantic until you told us it is just her missing the telly.

Just love the softness in this, It fits the theme spot on, this must be her worst nightmare I know it would be my daughters and wifes for that matter LOL :0 )

Very nicely done. I hope you didn't make her sit too long, lol. With any luck, the TV show was a rerun anyway. :)

Great portrait Cassie, I love the confrontational gaze & the mouth is so very expressive too!

Not the most willing model, but the most artistic gifted mother :-) Love it, it has both softness and character.

oh... oh... oh... I am trying to define this, but all I can do is staying open mouth in front of it. I woudl love to find a word better than "superb" for this but I don't know it... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:)

You are amazing... yeah I'll reiterate Meli, but jeez... you also appear to have made her look more mature, as if this is how she'll look in full adulthood (although I've only ever seen one photo of her so I can't really judge properly). Notice your signature too and approve, as this is too mature a work to have any Whizzo connotations LOL
... and yeah, bet you weren't expecting a comment from me so soon. I'll tell you the story when we chat... I'll try to catch ya hugs ;-)

This is so exceptional, the skill and the love in it clear and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing both with us. I hope Sarah adores it - and lets you make the attempt again before 12 more years have passed! It must have been an interesting show, she looks very intent;)

She looks so serious, I can tell that she was very reluctant to pose for you, ;) but I'm glad she did, and glad to that you were able to sketch her. It's good to see that you finally feel able to draw people again.
