Description

Been working on this for a couple of days, taking a break from this incredibly long render thats turning into crap right before my very eyes. but anyway--i started off by modeling an "ejection" type chair, then took it a step further and made the whole interior of the dropship. this is truly one of my pics that I was making up as I was going along, I didnt even have a set idea in my head of the finished pic till I was halfway thru(i guess thats not really a bad thing) I spent a little while posing the 3 diff. figures---and i needed an excuse to put the armorsuits (thanks to LynnJonathan) in a pic--their so awesome!!!!! I had the idea of the ships from Starship Troopers--one of the cheesiest, stupidest, but at the same time awesomest:) movies that i love to watch. they drop the soldiers onto the planet from these small crafts into battle. There is one idea for this pic that stuck from the begining though, just thinking of the wear-and tear of military life--so, hence, "dropship blues" one last thing this pic goes out to Benjamin Holte (a.k.a brholte -as many of us know him) who got shipped off back in august for 18 weeks to the NAVY. I dont know why but when i made this I had him in mind. go check out his gallery too if you get a chance. thanks for viewing/commenting, and have a nice evening.

This is truly impressive! I agree with everything already said and want to add that you have a wonderful sense for bringing the imaginations of the mind to visual reality! On a side note, if any of you haven't read the book "Starship Troopers" by Robert Heinlein, I highly recommend it. Quite a few things in the book that weren't in the movie (naturally).
