Description

*As swept melodies like droplets from the heart unchained get one major colour and refined crystal shapes, it comes a man with hair that wave like wired silk whose mesmerizing touch turns demons into dreams. And like primordial water cuddled the first among blossoming stars to tresure the miracle till he was made "born" so you warmen and protect all best inner senses that developing gently will inspire good men. Untamed, yet so soft, and unseen, nevertheless so strong a clean transparency set like mirror upon us gathers up there from the sensitivity of your angel's soul. I hear bubbles of divine feelings in pieces of digital notes like symphonies... I see moments of preciousness some dared once to warn you to not even hope to have that always are entangled in all the pieces that you make: magic waterfalls of creative fireworks that come and go from the inside till the eyes will catch their harmony to make sense to others' hearts; in your silent calls there are worlds to decode from the signs you leave on screen that are never of shallow mode... In your sweet kindness there's your own world to discover that inspires infinite kisses to those who feels all your enchanting purity that comes with and over.* ----------- HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM!!!!!!! ----------- Pencil 2b, no postwork, borders cropped due to scanner size. --- So here's my Fourth Knight :) Jim,aka Synapse.I can't possibly tell not even a millionth of the reasons which I treasure this man for.As an artist, he's just one of the best reasons for surfing this site (one of the real few artists that are around) and as person, well... he's just the purest of people around. Today is his BDay and this will be one of my gifts to him. Jim's art is a very complex and ambigous threat here:it's so strong, but its real essence appears only when one REALLY stops to see the surface of it and dwells into it: and the essence of Jim's art is Jim's inner adorability. His futuristic, sharpen and coldly shocking shapes in art are just shells that protects the soul in every single "creature" he paints in his pieces. No matter dark colours, no matter linear and metallic systems around them;no matter cyborg-like plugs:Jim always puts in ALL his works an element of light. It can be one single ball of clearer tone.. it can be the lighter wave of some of his earlier works... Jim's essence is a lyricism that by knowing the sadnesses and fears and doubts of humans keeps to give an hint of hope even in the darkest and most lonely universe of the rarefied space he shows us. There's always the soul clearly exposed there.Always you can feel sensuality and passion as second guess from the ambiguity of his frozen canvases. Jim's is the most transparent and pure creature you could meet: like water he's aiming to the freedom that gives no constriction, but like water freezes to scare and be dangerous to the man who holds no patience nor skill to discover the essential of the things, he can appear distant and far away to those who have no warmth to break his resistencies and barriers. Well my message is... be warm with him, and he will just be the most essential of friends, by melting and reavealing all his awesome qualities and feelings.Break the ice and he will be your protective help.Basilar to life. Just like a pool of pure, unpolluted water would be to someone dried in a desert.Oh.. and if you have never heard his music.. GO AND TRY!!!!!! I have yet not decided if he makes better visual or listeneable art! And this's quite a big compliment for his music as his art is first class:) Keep shine on my adored friend:) and Happy Birthday! :) --- The Knight series is ended but.. not quite: after elements of Air (cneofotistos),Fire (jrulier),Earth (syndroid) and Water(Synapse today) there's one last element to consider, the Light: stay tuned and... you'll see what I meant ;)) --- Enjoy :)

Meli, this truly is a skilled drawing. I have seen pics of Jim and this is an excellent likeness. From what I have gathered from his art everything you say holds true. He's brave and honest with his works - not to mention very talented.

Jim, YOU DA MAN! Happy Birthday! How old? May it be a sweet one. Far above the rest. Well deserved knighthood to your sweet heart and intelligence that shines. You should have been light too. Congrats sir, and Happy Birthday. Great job on the likeness too Meli. And the glass-like lines of obscurity that Jim likes to use adds a nice touch to it's personalization. Hat's off and a bow.

nice piece, I like the two figures incorporating the same flow with the hair. It brings two differently scaled parts together well. You have a whole lot of cool stuff in here, illusion of transparancy, repetition of shape and number. You take the shape to the edge of the page well, and in some places, it has an almost Matisse quality to it. Good work. Good night.

happy bday at this point for you jim - if you read...
i like your idea to "imitate" jim's style to make pics look like as if there's a layer of glass above...

He seems to be your bosum buddy among the knight as alpha to begin and the esquire as omega to end the knowlege with a cross. Greek?
