Description
This is a version of a previous file I uploaded (viewable in my gallery). The previous version was done with a 1 pixel black "brush" in MS Paint. This version has a much different feel to it. Done in Photoshop.
This is somewhat of a self-portrait. I pray a desperate, lonely prayer. I fight with myself, my weaknesses, and things that I do not fully understand. I yearn to make promises and commitments to God, but I shrink back in the fear that I will break them. God wants all of me, but what power do I have to give myself to Him?

it's so touching. The drama there is emphasized by the scratchy style.. it's a beautiful piece but above all that, it's very well conveying the message you aimed at. compliments.

great picture - full of emotions... i like it...
...perhaps gods wants you to be as you are... that's the greatest "power" you're able to give...
thanks for posting

This is a great piece, there is alot foramlly going on here, but I don't that formality is where the strength of the piece lies. Contextually this is a powerful piece. It is good to see someone who is (a) not afraid to show fear, or pain, and at the same time (b) be not afraid to show their hope in God, something I have found is almost mocked in the artist community. It is a great piece. w00t

First off, I want to say that I think this is a wonderful, and powerful image. Also, I thank you for your willingness to share emotions I have often felt. I would like to respond to your desperate prayer with this confident and hopeful prayer - it's Paul's prayer for the Ephesians and my pray for you: "I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come." (Ephesians 1:18-21). Now - that is some POWER. Blessings to you!

This has so much tension in the composition & conveys the sense of pain very well, I admire your talent & integrity.
