saw the movie of the " Tuskeegee Airmen " these guys were true heroes. A credit to their race and to their country. This is an excellent topic and a great render

Wow, I like the effect of looking through the cockpit window. Gives it a realistic effect. Great work, thanks for sharing.

The pilot is in there but for some reason he is not rendering very well at this angle. :) perhaps I'll fix it. I softened the image on purpose I do have a ultra sharp render as that is how I didit, but softening it up a bit makes it look more like a scanned in photograph which is what I was after. Thanks Guys

I thought they had red noses and tails on their Mustangs

vkoontz is absolutely correct their P51's had red tails and completelyy red nose cones. But I did not mean for this to be a true image of thier planes just a image inspired by their story. It would be easy to remap the with thier colors and repost, but that would just be reproducing the same effort. So I'll leave it as is. :)

Nice work. My only comment would be that the two subject planes are a little too close even for these guys. And more importantly, at the current bank angle, they would likely crash into the foreground plane ;-) Sorry but as a pilot and aircraft nut, ths stands out just a bit. Maybe the composition would be better and moe realistic with the planes peeling off and away from the camera plane. Just a thought. DR

I would agree... as an aircraft nut as well... I'd say those Mustangs (all Big Beautiful Doll) are about to get enven closer than the Blue Angels do :P But still... it's a nice render. Reflections are nice.

Terrific render, specially the cockpit reflections... great touch. Too scary close for my liking, but this is an awesome image!

Ahhh, but if you notice the camera angle. The viewer is looking slightly downward on the two other aircraft. Else you would not see as much of the wing at the bottom of the image. Those two are at a lower altitude than the view point so collision with the view plane is not an issue. Also with the zoom factor of the camera objects in the back ground are compressed. Makeing them look to be closer than they are. There is quite a bit of seperation of oblects in this scene. About one wing span spacing.
