Description

Someone tipped me off on the location of another cool tree. Lake Okanagan is visible in the background. This tree is perched on top of a rocky bluff. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a shot with a good view of the lake in the background. I will have to head back when there are some good clouds in the sky.

the shadow it projects on te rock, cut as the rock ends. is just pure evocation of death. But the warm colours and the bright blue erase all melancholia, makin this a totally peculiar piece. Great.

After reading Meli's comment I decided to give the image it title.

I like it without clouds. That blue skies gives room (space?) and freedom. Sorry, can't find better words. It also adds to the warm colours and gives you sharp edges at the shadows - making this an excellent shot!

All that's missing is a vulture sitting on top of that tree - the rest is just perfect.

I agree, without clouds the blue is interupted only by the strange shape of the tree, and the contrast is perfect

The forces of nature that formed the tree gave it a very abstract feel - Nice work -

The clear sky, especially with this shade of blue and that wonderful light is just perfect. I wouldn't change a thing here... Except maybe crop the right side a bit (as in cut out your signature and put mine instead) but I'm not so sure it would be the right thing to do, after all... :)))))))))) Fabulous work.
