Description

I took this shot a few months ago a the Grand Okanagan Lakefront Resort & Conference Center. I didn't like it that much at the time but after seeing it again a while later I changed my mind. Sometimes (like some songs do) an image will grow on you.

I love that light on the rose. The background is very unuasual, but it suits the photo. Great to see that such a beauty found its place between those not so beautiful buildings...

Love the image/song parallel; turns out, even a tough guy can take a shot of a pink (!) rose and still be a man :))))))) Seriously - it's a splendid shot, Matt. The POV and light are top notch, the delicate flower against the building is a really intriguing idea. Excellent title, as usual, too :)))

the rose is beautifully lighted.. and who knows? perhaps only unusual environment can reveal beauty that you will never note in an ordinary place..=) anyway, this background only contributes to its freshness and delicacy =))

i've been told recently, that you should hold on to your iffy, so-so shots & take a look back later, they can strike you totally different... definately worth viewing!! unique view :]
