Description

A work in progress. I've got a lot of small vignettes to place in front of the tomb (broken weapons..chests..furniture etc), just trying to get my head around how to do it without adding ridiculous time to the render. Any tips?

So far so good, now put in those things in front of the tomb and "plop render" that small area, then try to clone that piece of the pic (in Photoshop) into this large image.

wow---looks amazing so far, a very interesting take on balin's tomb, much larger and grand than alot of the other takes. love the lighting and smoke, if this is just a WIP, cant wait to see the finihsed image.

im only a novice so this is probly wrong. could you not save a render when you are happy with the scene, and then use this as a background wallpaper in poser to align and postion the objects in the scene. then do a render with the wallpaper turned off and just use the magic wand in photoshop to remove the background colour and put it on a new layer above your render. i know you wouldnt get shadows of pillars using this idea, but the lighting should be easy enough to recreate in poser with a reference render or fake in photoshop. just how i would do it.

Looks like you're off to a great start--the lighting and texturing is fantastic.

Render all the vignette's in the scene individually and composite the image in a painting program may be the easiest, using the plop render facility as attileus describes. Anyway, this pic is off to an awesome start.
