Description
It's only a background for a new image that I'm working on. The sky is from Bryce (two layers combined in PShop). Sea was rendered in MAX with Arete DNT plug-in. To raise speed of rendering and work I decided to render 4 different layers of the sea (with different distance from camera). Later I mounted them in PShop with the sky and lightnings. What do you think about it.

This is very nice, water effects are hard for me to get to look right and this LOOKS RIGHT! Also it is always nice to get clues on technique...thank you

This image has a great feel of depth. The waves or should I say swells, look very natural and you got the colors right. Will be exciting to see you finish this project.

The sea looks like frozen magma.

I like the feel of it; I am a fan of your work since I saw 'Illumination'. However, the swells of the sea don't look quite right - they should be more directional due to a prevailing wind/current which would certainly be present in such a storm. Look at photos taken of the sea off Cape Horn to see what I mean.
