Description

This is my first post for absolutely ages, and hopefully it'll spur me on to do some more work in C4D this winter! Boat model is from my friend Allan Peiper, from a 3DS max CD collection of his, which I imported into C4D and textured. This is mostly a sea/sky texturing exercise...sky is a Terragen import, sea is a mix of my own textures plus C4D shaders. Six lights in the scene...

This is really beautiful and an inventive use of so many things brought into Cinema for such excellent effect. That water looks WET! (and cold). Excellent work.

Looks great. Perhaps if the boat was swaying a bit to the port or stern (is that right? I dunno) it would be a bit more dynamic. Very nice though. Cheers!

The water is stunning. Truly. Could be the very best ocean water I've seen CG'd to date.

Nice work !, water tex on deformed plane ?. Been trying something using expressions to model deep ocean waves but not got anything this atmospheric yet.

Great!!! I just think you need to light the boat up a bit, seems to dark to me.

you should make your boat roll a bit, make the sea a little colored like your haze and have a larger patern for your wave form and finally some depth of field, it woult avoid the impression to see a miniature... great work indeed, nice mood close to perfection

The water is the best part of this scene. I'v tried to make a good ocean scene before but didnt have much luck. Very good.
