Description

Here's a quick render for the New Year - an update of an image I posted early last year, which itself was inspired by the 3D artist "Seraph135". I've tuned it a bit, and added a new background - I must thank and credit 3DExplorer, who very kindly showed me how to create the shadow-catcher for the gradient backdrop.

Excellent glass Eugene! If I may offer two things. IMO, it could use a fade to black background instead of blue...would pop out the colors more, bring the glass out of the background plane and add depth. Also, the wonderful magic that is caustics. Don't get me wrong though. This is wonderful nontheless! Just some thoughts. Peace. MTB

Thanks Mahlikus for taking the time to make those suggestions - they're very good ones and definitely make sense. I shall try them soon, if I can put up with the additional caustic render time! Peace to you too...E.T.
